Bruce Hackney learned his basic art instruction under the teaching of Gaitha Browning. After falling in love with the Texas hill country,he sat out to learn to paint it, on his own. After driving down many back roads, walking along creeks, through lots of countryside and living in Kerrville and Brownwood, he sketched, photografted and painted.He loves to help others to paint. His paintings have been purchased by lovers of art,businesses,corporations and in some of the best collections in the country. He is a member of the Studio 13 group of artists in Abilene Texas.
